Mamre Brook Shiraz 2003
(Herald Sun 31/05/05) |
“The
2003 vintage in most areas of South Australia looks
destined to be forever overshadowed by the excellent
2002, but though it was down in quantity, the quality
has so far been underrated. Though this latest Mamre
Brook may not be as big and rich as its predecessor,
it’s still a lovely wine with its enticing black
berry and spice aromas and flavours well integrated
with smoky wood. The texture is dense and silky with
fine tannins and along finish. Exceptional value.”

Mamre Brook Shiraz 2003 (Ray Jordan, West
Australian 14/05/05) |
The Mamre
Brook Shiraz 2003 is classic Barossa shiraz, from
the texture, power and concentration of fully ripe
Barossa floor shiraz to the obvious use of oak. It’s
generous and powerful with spice and vanilla merged
with locrice, dark berry and toasty flavours. Chunky
and stacked with flavour. This is a treat. Love this
stuff.”
