Saltram Tops the Barossa Charts

Saltram Wine Estates has been awarded the trophy for Most Successful Exhibitor
at the 2001 Barossa Wine Show.
The trophy is awarded to the winery which performs best across all classes
entered and Saltram topped the Barossa shiraz and fortified wine classes with
its 1998 No.1 Barossa Shiraz and Mr Pickwick Port both collecting trophies.
The No.1 Shiraz collected the trophy for Best Barossa Shiraz while Mr Pickwick
was a unanimous winner of the Best Fortified Wine trophy.
With supporting roles played by the gold medal winning 1999 Mamre Brook Shiraz
and 1999 No.1 Shiraz, , Saltram walked away with the Adelaide Bank Trophy for
Most Successful Exhibitor.
The trophy win is a triumph for Nigel Dolan who has continually improved the
quality of all the Saltram wines and been passionate about them returning to
their Barossa roots.
Dolan was Barossa Winemaker of the Year in 2000 and a finalist in the 2001
Qantas Australian Winemaker of the Year award.
