With a love of great ‘at-home’ style food inspired by his grandparents, the bistro-style fare – which was once considered more casual because of the restaurant’s wood-fired pizza offering – now proudly showcases the best of the Barossa thanks to a menu that has an emphasis on local produce complemented by Saltram’s premium wines, right in the heart of the Cellar Door’s unique vineyard setting.
Although the wood-fired pizzas are still considered a staple on the menu – particularly the ‘Barossa Butcher’s Pizza’ which has been a firm favourite amongst customers for over eight years now, Scott’s true passion is cooking with premium cuts of beef, sourced from local butchers alongside utilising the best local, quality produce the region has to offer. As a result, Salter’s Kitchen’s menu is always filled with delicious succulent barbequed meats, wood-oven baked vegetables and seasonal salads.
